Overview

We look forward to your participation in this program, which offers a chance to explore Bodrum's significant historical and cultural treasures in our immediate vicinity. We've also planned our tour to include important landmarks such as the ancient city of Stratonikeia, the symbolic city of gladiators and eternal love, a potential shining star of the future and home to artifacts from nearly every era. Bodrum Castle, which won a Special Commendation in the European Museum of the Year competition, has been carefully planned for you to have a delightful day.

TOUR PROGRAM

We'll meet you, our valued guests, at 8:00 a.m. at Eşref Girginç Park (across from LC Waikiki) and begin our wonderful day. We'll then head to Stratonikeia, our first stop of the day. After a free breakfast break along the way, we'll explore this precious ancient city, "the symbolic city of gladiators and eternal love," in the village of Eskihisar, Yatağan, accompanied by a guide. Stratonikeia is one of the rare places where you can see structures and urban fabric from the Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Beylik, Ottoman, and Turkish Republic periods all together.

After completing our visit, we'll continue to Bodrum, where we'll have free time in the bazaar. During this free time, you can have lunch and wander around the bazaar and marina. After our free time, we'll continue our visits. First, we'll visit Bodrum Castle. Built between 1406 and 1523, the castle of the Knights of St. John is now used as an underwater archaeology museum. After our visit, we'll understand even more clearly that Bodrum Castle, which won an award in the European Museum of the Year competition, is a truly valuable cultural heritage site, a place well-deserved by many submerged structures in the region. We visit the Underwater Museum, where the ship is exhibited in full detail, and gain valuable insights into the lifestyle of the period, the tools used, and the trade in the region.

Following our visit to the castle, we visit the Zeki Müren Art Museum, where one of Turkey's most important artists, Zeki Müren, lived and was later converted into an art house. After visiting the museum, which also displays information about the artist's life and works, along with his photographs and stage costumes, we return to Marmaris, happy to have spent a pleasant day. We bid farewell, hoping to see you again on future tours at the locations we met in Marmaris.
